2016-2017 Help
Great news! Kristel Lougher has volunteered and has been appointed to take over the treasurer position that will become vacant when our current treasure sadly moves. We are still in need for volunteers for the Vice-President, Secretary and Communications Secretary positions that will be open next year. Please consider coming to a meeting, listening, voicing your opinion, and joining in the conversation.
The following is a list of the positions that make up our “Executive Board”. Again, without the continued support of Lakeshore Families, the PTO will not be able to continue. If you are interested in one of the available positions, please come to our Tuesday, February 23rd meeting. The meetings are held at 4pm in the Lakeshore Media Center and as always there is free babysitting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact one of the current team members to discuss the positions. We need you!
~President - Prepares agendas and presides at all meetings of the organization and Executive Board. Works
cooperatively with the school principal in carrying out the responsibilities of the office and with setting up the PTO Calendar of Events. One year term (serve as VP the previous year)
~Vice-President - Takes the place of the President in his/her absence at Executive Board meetings and general meetings. Assists President in contacting potential committee chairpersons and acts as a contact for committee chairs, as assigned. Performs other duties as delegated to the office. Two year term (one as VP and the following as the PTO President)
~Treasurer - Receives and deposits all monies of the organization. Keeps accurate records of all receipts and
expenditures. Pays out funds as authorized. Prepares and presents annual budget at the first general meeting of the new school year for approval. Performs other duties as delegated to the office. Two year term.
