Physical Education Happenings
Our roller skating unit in Phy. Ed. begins on Tuesday!
-Remember to have your child wear long socks and remember to send their bicycle helmet to school by Tuesday (1/31). Please make sure your child's helmet fits before sending it to school.
-Volunteers are needed for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades.
-Please click the sign up genius below to sign up. Please note that kindergarteners will be on a field trip on 2/2 and also note the change in times on our half day on 2/3.

Starting January 30th through February 10th, our students and staff will be competing in a Fruit and Veggie Challenge to see which classrooms can eat the most FRESH fruits and vegetables (no packaged) during the school day. Teachers will keep a daily tally count for the full 2 weeks and the K-2 classroom and the 3-5 classroom with the most tallies will receive an extra roller-skating session at school. Let's get healthy!

Running Club starts Monday, January 30th until March 2nd. It is every Monday and Tuesday at 8:00am. Your child will play running games and activities, along with earning tokens and necklaces for their efforts. See you there!

-Email if you have any questions. Thanks!
Here is our 6 Day Rotation so you'll know when your child has Phy. Ed., January 31st is Day 1.

Math Club
Calling all Lakeshore Families,
Beginning next week Tuesday, Math Club will open for all of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. If you have any math games that you would be willing to donate, Mrs. Gedemer is accepting them at this time.
*Even if your child has a math game that they'd like to bring in, play, and then take back home again, that's great too! Please contact Mrs. Gedemer with any questions

~Due to the snow (ice) day on January 17th, the weather make up day will be May 26th.

~There's a lot of Baby Fever at Lakeshore-Miss Maria's (secretary) baby BOY is due March 6th, Mrs. Sullivan's (5th grade) baby GIRL is due April 24th and Mrs. Binversie's (ELL) baby GIRL is due May 12th. Congratulations to everyone!

~Reminder-make sure your student is bringing their snow gear, including snow pants, to school for outdoor recess. Some of our older students are thinking they're too 'cool' to wear their gear. Remind them that they may not go off the blacktop without wearing their snow gear.
