Flu Clinic
Lakeshore's Flu Clinic is coming up on October 24th at 9:15am. Please return your permission slips on Monday (10/17). This year, the CDC is offering the injection (shot) only.
~Students ages 4 and up will be able to receive the shot during the school day without a parent being present, if you feel your child will be cooperative. Staff may assist by helping hold the child to remain still; if you do not want your child held, please check the appropriate box on the consent form. If you prefer, a parent or other adult may be present to be with your child.
~Our flu clinic begins at 9:15am on 10/24. If there are enough parents that wish to be there with their child for the injection, but need to be there earlier, we may be able to get the Health Department to come closer to Lakeshore's start time (8:40am).  Please email our school nurse so she can get an idea of how many parents would like to come earlier and she'll contact the Health Department. We will let you know on this page and on our FB page if we can get begin the flu clinic before 9:15am.

Flu Clinic Permission Form Due Monday, October 17th.

United Way Penny Drive
Runs from October 12-October 21
The United Way Penny Drive has started!
The class that collects the most pounds will be able to 'trim' Mr. Steinbarth's hair on November 4th.
The Penny Drive runs until 10/20 (no school on 10/21) so send in your coins!
If you wish to donate paper money or write a check to the United Way, the pounds will be calculated by the weight of a roll of quarters (per $10).

Halloween Parade and Parties
October 28-Our annual Halloween Parade starts at 2:20 with the classroom parties to follow. Kindergarten through 2nd grade will parade at 2:20pm and 3rd through 5th grade will parade shortly after that. Students parade once around the school hallways. You're welcome to come watch the parade to see our students dressed up for Halloween.

~THANK YOU to Stacey and her crew for a wonderful Book Fair! We hope your children found lots of fun books!

~THANK YOU to Julie and her crew for another great Donuts with Dad!
It was wonderful to see so many families attend this event! We ordered 40 more donuts than were requested by your RSVP's. Unfortunately we ran out and some families who RSVP'd didn't receive their donuts. We never want to turn anyone away, so please make sure you RSVP to these special events so we can plan accordingly to make it great for all who attend!

~Student pictures should be coming soon. Quick-n-Smart recently informed us that the company they normally use is no longer in business. We hope to have your pictures in the next two week. We'll let you know as soon as they're in.
