We are still looking for several volunteers for our Hearing & Vision Screening. We vision screen all of our students and test hearing on all students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Your help is greatly appreciated to help these days run smoothly and to get all students screened before lunch. We'll train you and you'll love meeting our students.  Screenings will take place on Tuesday, September 27th and Wednesday, September 28th.  If you're able to help out either or both of those mornings, please click the sign up

Who likes FREE money?
Have you been wondering what this Scrip thing is all about?
SCRIP is the easiest way to earn yourself some FREE money and also help out your school. While shopping where you normally shop, you can earn cash back towards your child’s school lunches, book fair, field trips, spirit wear and more without any extra cost to you! We have many families that use Scrip and have never paid for a school lunch out of their own pocket, they just use their Scrip funds.

Here is an example...
Say you spend $100 per week on gas and $100 per week on groceries. Just purchase your Kwik Trip and Festival gift cards through scrip here at Lakeshore.  You will get a $100 Kwik Trip card and a $100 Festival card, no extra money out of your pocket. Tina (our Scrip chairperson), will put $9.60 in your personal Scrip account and $2.40 into the Lakeshore PTO account. Do this weekly and after one month, you will have $38.40 in your personal scrip account! That's like getting 3 weeks of FREE lunches for your child.

Our school is very generous with our scrip program. Some schools give 50% to the family and 50% stays at the school, some schools give 60% to the family and 40% stays at the school.  OUR school gives the family 80% and 20% stays at the school.  The percentage that is offered through the gift cards is different with each company. Some examples...Festival donates 3%, Pick N Save donates 4%, Gilles donates 10%, Kwik Trip donates 4% and Panera donates 9%.  This can change frequently, so please refer to the most updated scrip order form at school.

It may sound confusing but when you see your Scrip account increase in dollars and you are no longer paying for school lunches, spirit wear, field trips, etc. out of your own pocket, you'll soon realize what an awesome program this is, for both you and your school!

Scrip orders are due by noon each Friday in the Scrip order box in the lobby near the front entrance. Orders are done weekly and will be ready the following Thursday for pick-up or to be sent home with your child. When you need money from your scrip account to put more funds into your student's lunch account, pay fees, buy spirit wear, pay for a field trip, etc. contact Tina Duehring at 979-4051 or  and she will take care of the payment from your account. It's that easy!

Please visit our Ongoing Fundraising page for more information on Scrip, Box Tops, Pop Tabs, Soup Labels, Milk Moola, Amazon and more.  There are cases in the lobby for you to turn in your Scrip, Box Tops, etc., or you may just send them in with your student.

Also the Scrip committee is looking for a couple of volunteers to help sort Scrip on Wednesday afternoons/evenings. Sorting involves getting the envelopes from the school office (usually anytime Tuesday or Wednesday) then picking up the Scrip order at WLA Wednesday between 2:30 and 5:30 and putting the gift cards into the separate envelopes. The sorted Scrip is returned to Lakeshore on Thursday morning.  This usually only takes about an hour of your time and there is a rotating schedule so you will not have to do it every single week. The more people we have willing to sort the fewer times you'll be on the schedule.
