Physical Education Updates

From the desk of Ms. Olson-

Snowshoeing for 4th/5th graders-We will be snowshoeing after winter break if the weather allows.  All 4th/5th grade students need snow pants, boots, hat, mittens/gloves and winter coat to go snowshoeing.  Please send these items with your child.  Thank you!

Roller-skating in February!  If your child is in 1st through 5th grade, please make sure he/she is able to tie their shoes because they will need to be able to tie their own skates.  Each child will also need to bring a bicycle helmet to school in February.  Please make sure it is adjusted properly before you send the helmet to school.  NHTSA has a YouTube video on how to properly adjust a bicycle helmet. I will send home more information when we get closer to skate time!  Students should also wear long socks on their Phy. Ed. days.

Volunteers will be needed for grades K-2 when we begin roller-skating.  Students will need help getting used to the routine and finding their appropriate skates along with putting on their helmet.  More information to come.

We raised $3000 dollars for Jump Rope for Heart this year!  Thank you so much for your donations!

Lakeshore will be participating in a Fruit and Veggie challenge in January!  The K-2 class and 3-5 class with the most servings will be rewarded with an extra roller skating class!

Sign up for wrestling and softball clinic which starts in January is going on right now through the Fond du Lac Recreation Department.  Check it out!
