Miss Julie
As we are sure many of you heard at school or saw on Facebook, Miss Julie has accepted another position in the FDL School District.  We are so sad to see her go but wish her the best at her new position at Sabish Middle School! Please read the following from Miss Julie...

It is with very mixed emotions that I must tell you that I have been offered and I have accepted the Secretary to the Principal position at Sabish.  I am excited for the personal and  professional growth opportunity, but I am also heartbroken inside to leave Lakeshore and all of you.  This is an awesome school and working with such an outstanding school family has been a treasure and a blessing - a joy to come to work every day.
The good part is that I will see many of our kids as they grow and develop as young adults at Sabish.  Your dedication and commitment to our Lakeshore kids is highly evident each and every day and I know they will take your teachings to a very high level at Sabish, Theisen, Woodworth, FHS and beyond.
I am not certain of the time frame yet, but I plan to make the transition for my replacement as smooth as possible.  I think it will be a few weeks before I leave.
Lakeshore is truly a special place and I wish you all the best of everything.
Miss Julie
Lakeshore School Secretary

Hearing & Vision Screening Volunteers Needed
Hearing and Vision Screening is coming up on October 6th & 7th.
~We will be screening the Kindergarten and 1st grades for vision on October 6th beginning at 8:50am and we should be done by about 10:45am.
~We will be screening 2nd through 5th grades for vision on October 7th and Kindergarten through 3rd grades for hearing beginning at 8:50am and we should be done by about 11:00am.
We will need 10-12 volunteers for October 6th and 26-28 volunteers for October 7th. (I like to have a couple extra people just in case there are last minute changes in someone's schedule.)
Please remember that to volunteer in the FDL School District, you must have a volunteer application on file. Applications can be found online or obtained in the Lakeshore office.

There will be a vision training, which is optional, held on September 15th from 12:30pm-2:30pm at the City/County Government Center in the Legislative Chamber Room. I will also be emailing the 'how to's of hearing and vision screening' to you. The training flyer is attached at the end of the post.

I will send more details as we get closer and get our volunteers set. If you have any questions, please email me at or call/text 920-960-3845.
